About Us
Voluntary Health Scotland was initially established in 2000 through a partnership between the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and NHS Health Scotland. Now, The Scottish Government Health and Wellbeing Department and NHS Health Scotland provide annual funding to support our vision for health in Scotland. VHS strives to convey the aspirations and concerns of the voluntary and community health sector to the Scottish Government and the NHS and encourages participation by the sector in policy making and service development.
