Funding SourceDescription
Peter Gibson Memorial FundThe Peter Gibson Memorial Fund supports activities that contribute to improving the quality of life of Scottish consumers. Our Travelling Scholarship supports individuals to go abroad to research consumer issues, returning to use what they have learned and experienced to the benefit of Scottish consumers.

We are particularly interested in working with people with an interest in helping those who are disadvantaged through age, ill-health, disability, or financial hardship.
Scottish Arts CouncilThe contribution of the arts to physical and mental health and wellbeing is well recognised within the arts sector, and is now beginning to be widely acknowledged within the health sector.
Scottish Community Action Research Fund - SCARFThe Scottish Community Action Research Fund gives community groups support to improve their skills and confidence to carry out their own research. The fund helps them to plan a project, collect information and understand it, use the information and learn from the experience.
Scottish Community FoundationScottish Community Foundation grants are made to help improve the quality of life and life chances for the people of Scotland. Their work covers a wide range of social welfare and community development activities through a number of different grant programmes.
Scottish Council for Voluntary OrganisationsInformation on the largest sources of direct income to the voluntary sector covering public funding (including local and central government and government agencies), Europe, trusts and the National Lottery.
Scottish GovernmentThe Scottish Government published a guide as a resource for the Scottish voluntary sector to enable organisations to know how they might apply to the Scottish Government for funding. It covers the Scottish Government's direct grant schemes only.
Scottish Investment FundThe Scottish Investment Fund (SIF) is a £30 million fund provided by the Scottish Government to be delivered in the current spending review period (2008-2011). It aims to build capacity, capability and financial sustainability in the third sector, ensuring a strong and active third sector reaches its potential and makes a key contribution to the national outcomes of the Scottish Government. In order to achieve this, the fund will support enterprise in the third sector through investment in individual organisations supported by integral business support and management development. It will offer significant investment packages to organisations in order to make a step-change in their capacity, capability and sustainability. It is anticipated that investments will be made in around 60-80 organisations over the period 2008-2011.
Scottish Objective 3The Scottish Objective 3 Programme is a significant source of European funding which helps disadvantaged groups in the community who, for a variety of reasons, are excluded both economically and socially. The strategic aim of Objective 3 is to support economic growth in Scotland.
Sport ScotlandSport Scotland distributes National Lottery and Exchequer funds for the benefit of sport. It makes awards to help create links between schools and communities, support areas and groups deprived of sporting opportunities, encourage participation and support top athletes
Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards SchemeThe Tesco Charity Trust Community Awards ensure that the majority of the Trust’s grants are targeted towards local communities where it has stores. Community Awards benefit local organisations whose core work supports children’s education and welfare, children and adults with disabilities, and elderly people.
