They can also offer alternative settings for contacts which may be more accessible and preferable to children and their families than a health service venue.

NHS Health Scotland, through a national online networking site, would like to support the work of all partners who are working to reduce the level of childhood obesity. The site provides access to evidence which will inform practice as well as providing opportunities to discuss challenges and innovation with others working on child healthy weight projects. If you would like to become a member of this network, make contact with individuals in your area or would simply like more information, please contact: childhealthyweight@health.scot.nhs.uk
