2010February 5 Voluntary Health Scotland: Stakeholder SurveyThis survey of VHS members and stakeholders has allowed VHS to gauge its reach, satisfaction with its services and priorities for future direction.
  • VHS has a good reach in the voluntary sector, but could reach more key people in the statutory sector
  • The NHS is most aware of VHS and the sector where it has statutory obligations - public involvement, volunteering
  • Take-up of VHS services is higher within the voluntary sector
  • Most VHS services were rated excellent or very good by at least 50% of respondents
  • There is some divergence of priorities for the future, with the voluntary sector wishing to see VHS pursue a greater role for the sector through advocacy, policy analysis and research
VHS has now identified ten actions to improve the reach and quality of its services and clarify where its strengths are best directed in future.
